1. What is Bemore Village?
Bemore Village is a collection of locally hosted events built around shared experiences. Each event is designed to bring people together through simple, tangible moments like food, art, making things, or gathering around something meaningful. The focus is on participation, contribution, and presence. The goal is to create space for neighbors to show up, feel welcome, and take part in something together.
2. Are these events really free?
Yes. Every Bemore Village event so far has been entirely free, and the intent is to keep it that way. These events are fueled by the people who show up and the interest within the village itself. There is no need to sell anything to make them work, and selling would undermine the purpose of creating open, shared experiences.
3. Do I need to sign up, or can I just show up?
There are no required sign-ups. Events are open and meant to be approachable. RSVPs and engagement on linked event pages are encouraged because they help spread awareness and give us a better sense of interest, which allows us to prepare, scale, or adjust when needed.
4. Why does Bemore Village exist?
The world feels difficult right now, and many systems prioritize individual gain over collective well-being. Bemore Village exists as a small, intentional effort to push back against that way of thinking. The aim is to create moments where people can come together, share something real, and remember that collective effort still matters.
5. How can I get involved or contribute?
There are many ways people can contribute to Bemore Village. Time, skills, expertise, space, equipment, materials, and creative ideas are all welcome. What matters most is choosing something you enjoy sharing with others. Contributions are strongest when they come from genuine interest and care. If you have something you like doing or something you already have access to, there may be a natural way for it to become part of an event.
6. Can my business or organization participate?
Yes. Bemore Village works with businesses and organizations on a trade basis. A business contributes something of value that helps make an event possible, and that contribution is acknowledged publicly. There is no financial buy-in, sponsorship structure, or monetary exchange.
7. Is this a vendor market or a place to sell things?
No. Bemore Village events do not sell things. The focus is on shared experience and participation rather than commerce.
8. Is Bemore Village a nonprofit organization?
Bemore Village is not a registered nonprofit. It also does not have mechanisms in place to generate revenue. There are no sales, no donations, and no financial pipelines. This structure is intentional and keeps the focus on direct contribution and visible effort rather than money moving through an organization.
9. Where do contributions or resources go?
Contributions are combined in ways that allow something larger to exist than any single piece on its own. A yard, a projector, a sound system, creative work, food equipment, or helping hands can come together to form an event that none of those elements could create alone. People are encouraged to share whatever they have, even if it does not seem obviously useful by itself. Often, it pairs naturally with something someone else can offer.
10. How do I stay informed about upcoming events?
Updates are shared through the Bemore Village website, email mailing list, and Facebook page. These channels are the best way to stay informed about upcoming events and opportunities to participate.
