What is this, really?

a simple way to show up for one another.

Bemore Village is a home for small, local efforts focused on creating meaningful shared experiences for anyone in the community to join and be a part of. What we do is informal, community-led, and rooted in using our available time, skills, and resources to bring people together.

The events themselves are intentionally modest. They are hosted at homes, shared with neighbors, and extended outward to local spaces. What matters most is the experience of showing up for one another and creating moments that feel unexpectedly welcoming.

This site exists to document what’s been done, reflect on those efforts, and make it easier for others who value this kind of contribution to find one another. Over time, the hope is that these connections create new possibilities, shaped by the people who choose to participate and the pieces they are excited to bring to the table.

Let’s Not Go Nuts, It’s Just Free Donuts

An apple cider donut bake meant to turn a normal day into an open door. Our home stayed open while the donuts were being made, inviting anyone to pass through, and what remained was packaged and shared with local businesses and police stations as a simple extension of the same gesture.

Christmas Cookies in July

A large family bake built around variety, care, and abundance. More than three dozen homemade cookie recipes came together to recreate the warmth and familiarity of the holidays in the middle of summer, with the goal of making space for people to relax, connect, and be merry.

Nice Ice Baby, It’s Cold Outside

A winter gathering designed around contrast. A summer-style snowball offered up in the cold, surrounded by the final year of a local walk-up holiday light display, creating a playful reason to step outside, slow down, and enjoy something unexpected together.

A fair amount of skepticism

It’s okay to have questions.

Most people do. Bemore Village is an experiment that exists without a formal structure, funding model, or even long-term agenda. The goal is just to make it easier for people who value this kind of contribution to understand what’s happening and decide, on their own terms, whether it’s something they want to be part of and how.
